DJ HENNESSY YOUNGMAN →
This is maybe the funniest thing out there right now. Hennessy Youngman, hilarious hip-hop/performance/comedy artist put together this mixtape of “CVS Bangers.” That is, songs you hear while shopping at CVS. Complete with air horns, shotgun blasts, and dancehall yells of “Bon-Fiya!”
Made me yell-laugh in the car and pound the steering wheel. Jesus.

Ding-Donger with Matt Braunger! →
Hey everybody,
Quick announcement. I’ve got a new podcast out today on the Nerdist Industries Network called “Ding-Donger with Matt Braunger.” It’s fifteen minutes long, will come out weekly, and will never have a guest.
Let me explain.
Basically, it was an idea I had born of trying to stay productive online and of wanting to do a really short podcast. I follow some...
Here's First Teaser for Grawlix's Those Who Can't...

Next week, specifically on April 18th, The Grawlix’s Amazon Studios web series, Those Who Can’t, will finally premiere. Seems from this first teaser as Adam Cayton-Holland, Ben Roy, and Andrew Orvedahl play teachers in Colorado, though they’re still pretty much themselves from their previous roles as self-absorbed, conniving comedians.
Basically, we’re really...

Last night.
I did Joe Sib’s show at the Laugh Factory in Hollywood. Was scheduled to go up around 11:20, but let TJ Miller go ahead of me. The jerk. Haha. Oh, messing with friends on the internet—anyway, amazing show. Had a good set, Ian Edwards murdered me from the stage, then Joe told me to stick around. Dave Chappelle was dropping in.
Holy shit! I got a beer and sat down. Joe took the stage,...
Got a big tour coming up in April and May.
Hope I don’t say something colossally stupid and hateful and get each and every date cancelled.
Episode 007 with Matt Braunger, "The Substitute"
gobayside:
Matt and I watch the one where the girls all believe they will marry their much-older substitute teacher, so the guys team up to get that dude outta there. http://gobayside.libsyn.com/episode-007-the-substitute-with-matt-braunger (Subscribe on iTunes)
This was crazy fun, and a great idea for a podcast. April had to keep reminding me the character’s names, because I was...
Scott Kennedy →
daveholmes:
Scott Kennedy was talented, generous and brave. He made a point of performing for the troops from the very beginnings of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, going on to do so more than 50 times. He was an out gay comedian in a time when it was not at all easy to be an out gay comedian. (And often in a place where it was not at all easy to be an out gay comedian, for example in Iraq and...
Smash.
I just got home and my whole street is blocked off. Smashed cars and their pieces litter the street, cops are walking around, and there’s a small firetruck in the driveway of my building. Evidently a guy had a seizure driving down the street, clipped five or so cars, and ran headfirst into another one. He was knocked unconscious.
My neighbor, who I’d never met before (Hi, Jessica!),...

I think they did a pretty good job. See everybody in Austin!
No Moontower for me this year, evidently.
Hey gang, I’m not posting this out of spite or anger. This is only an FYI to my friends and people who like to see me do comedy in Austin. In a nutshell, I’ve been uninvited to perform at the Moontower Festival in Austin this year.
It’s sad, because I was super excited to Moontower, as I didn’t get a chance to do it last year. Also, I love Austin, and haven’t been in...
